I decided it needed its own amazing lauch post. Here it is. The result of a combined effort of Romy and I, Ash and Trotski, with photos by Lauren Bamford.
Enjoy. We will post once weekly, perhaps more, for your little eyes and tummies to feast on. I hope you like it. Let me know if there are any glitches or problems with the way it works...
HI!!!!
Sorry its been oh so long.
I've been pretty busy you see.
Applying to go back to school.
Starting T&A. Read! Cook! Eat! Be merry!
Looking for a house. I would like to make a hilarious 70s nest here, alas, it is not yet time... only big four bedroom sharehouses of a strange configuration for me... Not long left to find one! We've been rejected a few times, have had a few run ins with agents and so many inspections... MAY SOMEthing come along soon!
Making a little folio. It's a start.
Getting back on track as Boris subsides.
Reading about beautiful buildings.
And the ever waiting Gordon Grove project awaiting construction!!!
Hope all is well with you bloggers!
I'll keep trying to post as soon as all things are settled!

The last thing I feel like doing at the moment is looking for a house. But this one looks alright, might be too far away though. I think I'd like to have the 70s wood panelled studio as my room. Really, all I want is one of these... (via aesthetically pleasing)
Krisatomic has just uploaded some amazing blogging fodder, including this beautiful collar from a Hong Kong museum. So so beautiful.

Why am I still in bed at Midday on a Wednesday? Lazy. Well a little, yes. But mostly it's because of my new friend Boris. Boris is a complex ovarian cyst the size of a tennis ball. Nice. Hungry? I think not. I'll know more next week about how we 'lose' Boris, if only it was as easy as giving the wrong directions to the party, hopping in a cab, and hoping he can't find it.
I was feeling, quite frankly, preganant. Tender, nauseas, bloated, generally tired and emotional. Of course this isn't possible because of the medication I am on for everything else, so I decided to get it all checked out, and we found Boris.
Boris is an ex tennis player, drinks beer, has gas, likes to prod with what I can only imagine is a rabbit ear TV antennae and lives in my lower abdomen.
I guess Ill be on the internets a bit more this week. Ill try to post a bit more. Apologies for my absence, friends, bloggers (and clients!!!).

The Sartorialist has had a bit of a lull again, but this here is a pretty great outfit. I request more! Cute girls in florals and layers and tights!
The trouble with renting is that it's hard to stay somewhere longer than a year. We have been told that our house is for sale. Our future is once again uncertain!!! It was only a year ago that we got notice to vacate at beloved bowen. And so it begins. It seems that there are a few more options as last year we were in the clasp of a brutal rental crisis and there was next to nothing on the market, but now doesn't look quite so bad. New houses are always a little bit exciting, this house was such a compromise as we were right at the end of our 60 days with nothing to go to. Hopefully we find a magnificent palace where we can all fit and happily rest our weary year-per-house heads.
I'm dreaming of wallpaper and shell lanterns and cosy corners. Really all we want is space for more than one of us to lounge at a time, a landlord that does things like fix our back door within a day when it has fallen off its hinges- decayed, and a kitchen where you can reach the cupboards!!!!

Images from the Sartorialist.
I found the Sartorialist a little dry for a while there, pretty suits and conservative Milan shoots but nothing that really sparked my interest. Upon going back today though, there was a February treasure trove of mixed prints, messy layers and winter inspiration!

My magical weekend. Three days at Cumberland River on the Great Ocean Rd.
I needed this weekend with my friends, to work out what the next step is, where to go from here, and what the rest of the year holds. I've been ill the last couple of weeks with my Endometriosis, bed bound sluggish and generally wishing it would end. Three weeks straight almost of pain. The only answer is to take more hormones. It's a very funny thing. Maybe I shouldn't eat free range chicken?!? Ha. There are other things to do, I got a stern word from my GP about procreation the other day. Ha! Give me a few more years, at least.
There is lots happening at the moment. The most exciting is Trotski & Ash which is being built at the moment, I'll fill you in on that soon, hint? Food and Internet.
Tonight is the inaugural Cheese Club I think. Maybe on the big pile of rocks behind Northcote Plaza, looking over the dandenongs. You have to bring your latest cheese discovery and eat so much cheese that you have cheese dreams and you present them at the next meeting.
I think that will do for today, but I'll be back soon with more news and pretty things.

I remember being little and going to the Taronga Zoo and the Sydney Aquarium. Every year that I was of school age in Sydney would result in one or two trips to the zoo. It was the only excursion that I really was adamant about going to. Quite often I missed excursions because we couldn't really afford them. But I would beg for this one, washing the car, vacuuming the house, cleaning the toilet, washing up for a week. I remember Taronga like the back of my hand. I would always stand in the dark 'hut' that housed the platypus much longer than everyone else hoping to get a glimpse, would always trek back to the asian and african elephant elcosures and compare their feet with mine. Would always marvel at the girraffes and sit watching the harbour behind them comparing how tall their necks were to the buildings of the CBD behind.
I have vivid memories of forming two lines and waiting to put our hands in 'touchy pool' at the aquarium. Me, fearless, picking up all spikey and squishy things and scaring my holding-hands partner so they squealed.
I love this image. It reminded me of all these things. Of the shadow of sharks hovering over me in the glass dome above my head. Hammerheads staring with one eye at a time. Despite its 60s restaurant charm. Imagine being a child in this restaurant?
