Amazing terrariums here. I want to make some, but it might have to wait til I have some spare time. (November!).

Demolition has begun at Gordon Grove!!!
Here is my lovely client Claerwen and her son Winter.
I'm really excited to see the space this week without the existing 80's bathroom!

I'm back at uni and this is my site. The Preston Bowls Club. It's on the corner of Murray Rd and Spring St, Preston and has been sold off to developers. I'm going to design some residential there, but I'll get a broken heart I know it when the real thing goes up.
More pictures soon.

Piennale. Was so so good. Thanks for all your pies. See here for the behind the scenes Pie Judge lowdown! More stuff soon everyone. Sorry for all the little snippets.

This blog was sent to my nerd boyfriend via Lorelei V. Her blog makes me laugh every day.

We got the house!

Her skin is white cloth,
and she's all sewn apart
and she has many colored pins
sticking out of her heart.

She has many different zombies
who are deeply in her trance.
She even has a zombie
who was originally from France.

But she knows she has a curse on her,
a curse she cannot win.
For if someone gets
too close to her,

the pins stick farther in.

The Melancholy Death of Oyster Boy and other stories by Tim Burton
One of my favourite books.

"Winter weather is not my soul, but the biding for Spring....
Winter exposes the nests, and I'm gone..."

Smog, Palimpset from 'A River Ain't Too Much To Love'

I think I've seen about four nests in trees this week. Including one in the house that we looked at on the weekend. All the leaves being gone, they are easy to spot and prominent, awkward, empty. This album always reminds me of this time of year.

Surrendering yourself to the depths of Winter.

I've got sugar on my face. It's encrusted there from making some sticky lemon squares. I baked them in small loaf tins so that I could make sure every one had a crunchy chewy edge. I love the edges. When I was little I would just eat the cheesecake crust, the ones where your mum used to crush up biscuits and stick them together again with melted butter. Delicious.

I found this blog today. It's full of little things that make me happy.

I've been spending so much time on eBay, looking for 70s shoes, furniture for Jack's warehouse and furniture, fixtures and fittings for my Northcote project which will finally be under construction soon. It's a strange world on eBay. People spell things funny, the images are sideways and you cross eyed with insufficiently focused phone photographs.

I looked at a pretty house yesterday. It's kinda small for 4 people, and I have never lived around there. But the street is really nice, it reminds me of the narrow streets in Balmain in Sydney. I hope hope hope we get it. We've applied. In total we have applied for 5 houses in 2 months. We really are going crazy.

CROSS YOUR FINGERS AND TOES MY BLOGGING FRIENDS!

PS. I get my feathery photos back tomorrow! xx

I'm pretty busy at the moment. I've been working on a short film, set in 1974 (outside of Sydney) doing the costume design. It's really amazing researching archives of photos, families all in matching flares, 60s nanna's in psychedelic patterned flower kitchen clutching cord clad children. Great!

Sally Singer's home at the Chealsea Hotel. The Selby.

Sneak Peeks at the shoot I did on the weekend. Not the dappled sunlight and gangs of warriors I had hoped for, but excellent nonetheless...

trotski&ash

I decided it needed its own amazing lauch post. Here it is. The result of a combined effort of Romy and I, Ash and Trotski, with photos by Lauren Bamford.
Enjoy. We will post once weekly, perhaps more, for your little eyes and tummies to feast on. I hope you like it. Let me know if there are any glitches or problems with the way it works...

HI!!!!

Sorry its been oh so long.
I've been pretty busy you see.

Applying to go back to school.

Starting T&A. Read! Cook! Eat! Be merry!

Looking for a house. I would like to make a hilarious 70s nest here, alas, it is not yet time... only big four bedroom sharehouses of a strange configuration for me... Not long left to find one! We've been rejected a few times, have had a few run ins with agents and so many inspections... MAY SOMEthing come along soon!

Making a little folio. It's a start.

Getting back on track as Boris subsides.

Reading about beautiful buildings.

And the ever waiting Gordon Grove project awaiting construction!!!

Hope all is well with you bloggers!

I'll keep trying to post as soon as all things are settled!

Dell, you made my day. Here is something if you didn't already see it over here.

The last thing I feel like doing at the moment is looking for a house. But this one looks alright, might be too far away though. I think I'd like to have the 70s wood panelled studio as my room. Really, all I want is one of these... (via aesthetically pleasing)

Krisatomic has just uploaded some amazing blogging fodder, including this beautiful collar from a Hong Kong museum. So so beautiful.

Amazing vintage interiors, I can't figure out how to post the images, but you can see them here.

Why am I still in bed at Midday on a Wednesday? Lazy. Well a little, yes. But mostly it's because of my new friend Boris. Boris is a complex ovarian cyst the size of a tennis ball. Nice. Hungry? I think not. I'll know more next week about how we 'lose' Boris, if only it was as easy as giving the wrong directions to the party, hopping in a cab, and hoping he can't find it.
I was feeling, quite frankly, preganant. Tender, nauseas, bloated, generally tired and emotional. Of course this isn't possible because of the medication I am on for everything else, so I decided to get it all checked out, and we found Boris.
Boris is an ex tennis player, drinks beer, has gas, likes to prod with what I can only imagine is a rabbit ear TV antennae and lives in my lower abdomen.

I guess Ill be on the internets a bit more this week. Ill try to post a bit more. Apologies for my absence, friends, bloggers (and clients!!!).
